Yes you heard me right....I got it.....Respiratory Syncytial Virus.....that nasty respiratory virus that is wicked contagious and really runs havoc on little ones like me. Mommy and Ms Kelly took me to the doctor yesterday and were told I have a mild case. We know so many families that have dealt with severe cases of this and had awful experiences. We are very thankful. Just a few difficult nights and all should be back on track soon.
The good news is that I have pooped everyday for the past 6 days without having to take my stimulant. Let's hope this keeps up.
Tomorrow I have my eye exam scheduled. My pediatrician thinks I might be nearsighted and might need glasses.....hummmm....that will be interesting.

Let the Good times Roll.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARMEE!!!
WOW what a week. Marmee and Papou came into town to celebrate Marmee's birthday. I got to spend a quiet night at home with Kelly while everyone, including Aidan went out for a night on the town to celebrate. From all the stories it sounds like everyone had a great time, but I'm glad I stayed home to catch up on my ZZZZZZZZ's.
I have been working really hard with Julie and Beth for OT/PT and my sitting is getting better my the day. I can sit unsupported for 10 seconds at a time. Everyone sits around during my therapies and cheers me on. I'm so lucky to have such a great fan club.

I Heart Aidan....
This has been an interesting week so far. I continue to struggle with sleeping. Things are getting better in that I can sleep up to to 5 hours some nights, but there are many nights I get very little sleep. I continue to sturgglel with napping and this creats many issues with me being able to make it to my therapy appts. Bottom line is that I continue to have NO schedule and this makes it impossible for me to leave the house even if I were tolerant of doing so.
Mommy has decided to go back to work one day a week to get back out in the real world. Now I get to spend more time with Ms. Kelly who has been working very hard with my therapist to learn what she can do to help me reach my goals.
She must be working her magic!!! I am really trying hard to break her in by pooping all over the place. I jsut wanted to see if she is up for the challenge. Well she is...
Today I sat for the first time unassisted for about 8 seconds. I'm trying so hard to work on my core strength. I think I'm getting the hang of this sitting thing. It is kinda of nice to be on my own and not have to have someone hold me all the time.
For Valentine's Day I decided to show Mommy and Grandma who my favorite person is. While Aidan was standing in front of me giving me "nose kisses" I decided to reach out grab his face and plant a big one on him. This is the firest time I have done anything like that and I caught everyone off guard....even Aidan who responded with a giant smile.
Mommy is still trying to get her computer working to get some updated photos.

Update
Where to begin... Mommy and I haven't posted in awhile due to computer difficulties (and Mommy has been so tired.) We are still having them, but are giving this our best shot. So the latest news continues to be related to my sleep or lack there of. Things had gotten so bad last week that Dr S was worried about sleep deprivation. Marmee came into town to help Mommy who was exhausted and to assist her in finding someone to help with my ongoing issues. Since there is not really any medication that babies can take for sleep we had gotten to the point of considering something serious. The night we were suppose to try this I finally game in to exhaustion. I literally passed out from exhaustion and slept for 10 hrs only waking up twice to eat. That's the longest I have have slept since being off my anti-convulsent meds and the longest stretch I had in many months. 10 hrs was more than I had been getting in an entire day. Well Mommy and Daddy knew that would be short lived so with the help of Maemee we called in an expert (Anna). Anna came for two nights this week to try and "teach" me how to sleep. My sleep training went well the first two nights but as soon as she left.....what is it that they say, "When the cats away the mice will play." Well I decided to give Mommy a run for her money and threw all the rules out the window. I am sleeping more hours in a day, but I'm still not meeting the totals someone my age should be getting. Mommy is feeling hopeful that we are at least moving in the right direction.
Aidan is still sleeping in the basement and loving it. He thinks he is on a permenant camp out. Who wouldn't want to sleep in their playroom? Maybe that explains why he is tired as well.
Mommy has been really struggling with giving me a bath. The problem we were having was that I have long since outgrown my infant tub, don't sit yet, and am very active. This seems to have ruled out most tubs. Finally after many creative ideas from my OT and PT Mommy found a bath seat for me. We I'm happy, mommy is happy, but Aidan is the happiest of us all. He loves to help bathe me a night and have literally been begging to take a bath with me....
......so here we go.....
My tummy issues continue as well. Last week my GI doc added another med to assist in my pooping. As with everything, it worked at first but then stopped. We are still working on this. It seems to be an all or nothing kinda of thing for me.
Today I headed off to see Dr S for my 9 month wellness visit. At a 20+ lbs I am now officially moving on to 18 month clothes (I'm really long). We worked out a plan with Dr S to trying to get me back on track with my vaccines which had been put on hold. I actually went to the doctor last week to rule out Whopping Cough (that was quite a scare).
This evening I had my first Neurology appt since my EEG came back normal. My docs didn't have anything new to add.....all they can say is, "WOW"! Long story short my neurologist told Mommy and Daddy we were lucky my EEG came back normal because he would only treat me if I was having seizures.
Well we are batting down the hatches as they are saying we are to get up to 22" of snow over the next two days. Maybe I will help Aidan with the snowman.
